How Do You Raise a Child to Have a
Great Imagination, Learn Fast,
Develop Strong Morals, and
Demonstrate Leadership Ability?

YOU READ TO THEM AND WITH THEM.

Study after study indicates that children who are read to and taught to read are more advanced intellectually than those children without developed reading skills. But the window of time in a child’s educational development is limited and the gap between student abilities widens quickly. The educational system is not always able to fill the gap.

Reading good books to your child and providing avenues for them to experience quality storytelling is basic to good parenting. Encouraging them to read is to encourage them to discover! A child with good reading skills often shows:

Improved vocabulary and grammatical skills

Enhanced ability to write

Deeper understanding of social situations

Greater knowledge about the world

Increased confidence

Vivid Imagination

Greater interest in achievement in school

Several years ago, my wife and I were empty nesters when we decided to take in two foster children. One was an eight-year-old young lady, who, because of her home environment was not allowed to go to school very often, but was moved through the educational system and promoted to the third grade.

At the grade school near our home she went through a battery of tests with a diagnosis we expected. She was severely behind, and her reading skills, writing and math skills were at a first-grade level or below. Her teacher was most concerned about her ability to read and comprehend.

Consequently, with the teacher’s help, we began a program of reading every night, seven days a week. We devoted 20 minutes each evening and read 1-3 short books beginning at the first-grade level. Our goal was to be consistent and make sure she read to us every evening.

After six months, this young girl had undergone a transformation. She was reading well above her age level. Her ability to express herself was vastly improved, her math and writing skills were above average and she was very confident in social situations.Right before this young lady moved away from our home, a note from the teacher, accompanying her excellent report card (A’s and one B) informed us that as a student she was coaching and helping other students with reading and math.

We’re convinced that her newfound ability to read changed her view of herself and what she was able to accomplish.

Great Stories 4 Kids provides multi-media stories for children. Combining pictures with text and narration, each story provides an exciting experience for each child. They see, hear and can read along, stimulating all learning areas for reading comprehension.

In the forefront of book technology (called Video View Stories), Great Stories 4 Kids is committed to stories from famous authors from of the classics such as Beatrix Potter, Thornton W. Burgess and many other giants from children’s literature.

Our goal is to educate and entertain your child, while at the same time stimulating each child’s imagination, desire to learn and sense of right and wrong. We hope you will join us in our quest to assist children to grow and develop into contributing adults.

Please accept our free gift of Beatrix Potter’s JOHNNY TOWNMOUSE.
